Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Radiologic Technologist to join the Houston Methodist team! The ideal candidate for this position will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to patient care.The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating imaging equipment, positioning patients, and performing x-ray examinations. They must be able to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety.The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Additionally, they must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate imaging equipment to perform x-ray examinations.
  2. Position patients correctly and safely.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and patient positioning.
  4. Ensure radiation safety during examinations.
  5. Communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues.
  6. Maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  7. Maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care.
  9. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  10. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
