Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced and organized Research Program Manager to join our team and manage the day-to-day operations of our research programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for research and a commitment to delivering high quality results. We are looking for an individual who is driven, reliable, and excited to work closely with our research staff, ensuring the smooth functioning of all research projects.The Research Program Manager must have at least five years of research experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered. The successful candidate must also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize tasks, and provide effective guidance and direction to research staff. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of research programs.
  2. Provide guidance and direction to research staff and ensure the smooth functioning of all research projects.
  3. Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Ensure that research protocols, project management, and data analysis are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  5. Monitor the progress of research projects and ensure that deadlines are met.
  6. Prepare reports and presentations on research activities.
  7. Maintain a high level of organization and communication with research staff and other stakeholders.
  8. Participate in the development of research strategies and objectives.
  9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with research standards.
  10. Identify and address any research issues or problems.
