
Surgical Dental Assistant
The Houston Methodist is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our exceptional team. The Surgical Dental Assistant must demonstrate excellent clinical, organizational, and customer service skills along with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the dental team in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of dental anatomy, physiology, and procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain all dental instruments and materials.
- Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist during procedures.
- Take and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Take intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs as directed by the dentist.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dental treatment rooms.
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments.
- Provide patient education and instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and charts.
- Assist in scheduling appointments.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
