Job Description

At Houston Methodist, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and patient-oriented care to join us in our mission to provide exceptional healthcare to our patients. The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonography and vascular ultrasound procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols, as well as other related duties.To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, ARDMS certification in Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, and at least one year of previous experience as an Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist in a clinical setting.We are seeking a professional who is dedicated to providing quality patient care, has strong technical skills, and is passionate about helping others. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic medical sonography and vascular ultrasound procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols.
  2. Maintain knowledge of current techniques and protocols and ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  3. Provide patient-oriented care in accordance with Houston Methodist's mission to provide exceptional healthcare.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports of patient examinations.
  5. Monitor and maintain sonography and vascular equipment according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  7. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to sonography and vascular ultrasound.
  8. Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
