
Unit Administrative Assistant - Infusion Center
We are currently seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Unit Administrative Assistant to join our Infusion Center at Houston Methodist. This role requires a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills who can manage a high-volume workload and provide superior customer service to our patients and their families.The successful candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to stay organized while working in a fast-paced environment. The Unit Administrative Assistant will report to the Infusion Center Manager and be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Infusion Center.Required qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Minimum of 2 years of administrative support or related experience- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Proven ability to multitask and stay organized- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Familiarity with medical terminology- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Proactive, organized, and detail oriented- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Infusion Center Manager with daily administrative tasks and operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Process patient paperwork in accordance with departmental protocol.
- Monitor office inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of new programs and initiatives.
- Perform data entry and other clerical duties as needed.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
