- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for the organization, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while minimizing the organization's tax liability.
- Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations and communicate changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions and transactions.
- Prepare and file all tax returns accurately and timely.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax processes and increase efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate with government agencies and respond to tax inquiries and audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with special tax projects and initiatives as needed.
- Proactively identify potential tax risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax implications are considered in new business initiatives and projects.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the tax team and across the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Tax Planning And Compliance.
Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Tax Laws And Regulations.
Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Tax Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
