- Monitor and maintain AIX systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors in AIX systems.
- Install, configure, and upgrade AIX operating system and related software.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for AIX systems.
- Collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure seamless integration of AIX systems with other technologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AIX technology to suggest and implement improvements.
- Perform regular security audits and implement necessary security measures to protect AIX systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures for AIX systems.
- Train and mentor junior AIX administrators.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide timely updates on AIX systems.
- Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to prevent system downtime.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to AIX system emergencies as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors for support and maintenance of AIX systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new AIX products or features to enhance system performance.
- Adhere to established processes and procedures for change management and system maintenance.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As An Aix Administrator, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field.
Proficiency In Aix Operating System, Including Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting.
Strong Knowledge Of Virtualization Technologies Such As Powervm And Lpars.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
