As a Capture Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and success in the public sector by leading the capture of new business opportunities.   1. Develop and implement capture strategies to secure new business opportunities within the public sector market.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute capture plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
  3. Lead the identification and qualification of potential business opportunities, including researching and analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in government agencies to understand their requirements and position IBM as a trusted partner.
  5. Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to win new business opportunities.
  6. Manage the entire capture process, including coordinating and leading proposal teams, setting timelines, and ensuring timely submission of proposals.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the capture process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, government policies, and regulations to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
  9. Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans for targeted government agencies.
  10. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of capture activities and outcomes.
  11. Mentor and coach junior capture team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  12. Represent IBM at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote the company's capabilities and build relationships with potential clients.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including ethical standards and compliance requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Capture Management Role, Preferably In The Sled (State, Local, And Education) Or Public Market Sector.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Winning Multimillion-Dollar Public Sector Contracts.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of The Competitive Landscape And Procurement Processes In The Sled And Public Market Space.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Government Officials And Industry Partners.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business, Public Administration, Or Computer Science.
