Retail POS Tester - Onsite

- Perform manual and automated testing of retail point-of-sale systems to ensure quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to design and execute effective testing strategies.
- Identify, document and report any issues or defects found during testing.
- Develop and maintain testing documentation and processes.
- Continuously monitor and improve the quality of the retail point-of-sale system.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
- Work closely with developers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on testing progress and results.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure all issues are resolved before release.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the retail industry and point-of-sale systems.
- Proactively identify potential areas of improvement in the testing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of projects.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Experience With Retail Industry: A Retail Pos Tester At Ibm Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Retail Industry, Including Knowledge Of Common Retail Operations And Processes.
Knowledge Of Pos Systems: The Candidate Should Have Experience With Testing And Troubleshooting Various Point-Of-Sale (Pos) Systems, Including Software And Hardware Components.
Software Testing Skills: Strong Knowledge And Experience In Software Testing Methodologies, Including Functional, Regression, And Usability Testing. Familiarity With Testing Tools And Defect Tracking Systems Is Also Important.
Communication And Collaboration: The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With A Diverse Team, Including Developers, Project Managers, And Business Stakeholders.
Attention To Detail: A Retail Pos Tester Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Identify And Report Any Issues Or Defects In The System. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Efficiently.
