  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of international trade and customs regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks for the company.
  2. Classify and accurately determine the tariff codes for all imported products, keeping up-to-date with any changes in regulations and laws.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product details and make informed decisions on proper classification.
  4. Continuously monitor and review customs documentation to identify any discrepancies or errors and take corrective actions.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customs-related activities.
  6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the area of customs classification.
  7. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods.
  8. Communicate and liaise with customs officials, brokers, and other external stakeholders to resolve any issues or inquiries.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in global trade policies to provide strategic recommendations and optimize supply chain processes.
  10. Provide training and guidance to team members and cross-functional teams on customs classification and related procedures.
  11. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations.
  12. Proactively identify and report any potential risks or non-compliance issues to management.
  13. Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations on customs classification, duties, and taxes for senior leadership.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all job responsibilities.
  15. Keep up-to-date with company policies and procedures related to customs classification and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Customs Classification, Preferably In The Retail Industry.

  • Expertise In Tariff Classification, Hts Codes, And Customs Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical Skills With The Ability To Interpret And Apply Complex Data.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
