We’re looking for an experienced and creative Associate Technical Designer to join J.Crew’s Design team and help bring our products to life! The Associate Technical Designer is a key player in the design process, ensuring fit, function, and quality of J.Crew apparel. The ideal candidate must have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and be able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities:
- Develop new designs for J.Crew apparel while ensuring fit and function.
- Use creative skills to meet the aesthetic standards of the brand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure design quality.
- Create technical sketches and technical packages for production.
- Monitor production process for quality control, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the design team for future development.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and advancements in apparel design.
- Source and evaluate new fabrics, trims, and embellishments.
