Job Description

If so, J.Crew is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, ensuring that our stores and offices are always in top-notch condition.   1. Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule for all facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
  2. Coordinate with store managers and office staff to determine maintenance needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify any potential issues or areas in need of maintenance.
  4. Create and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  5. Source and manage external vendors for specialized maintenance services, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and costs.
  7. Work closely with the purchasing department to order necessary supplies and equipment for maintenance purposes.
  8. Respond promptly to any maintenance emergencies and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the organization to understand their needs and provide timely and efficient maintenance services.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling.
  12. Train and support team members on proper maintenance procedures and techniques.
  13. Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and facilities, to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Maintenance Planning And Scheduling: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Maintenance Planning And Scheduling, Preferably In A Retail Or Apparel Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Preventive Maintenance Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Preventive Maintenance Programs And Be Able To Develop And Maintain A Comprehensive Program For All Equipment And Facilities.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Various Teams And Departments, As Well As Prioritize And Manage Multiple Tasks To Ensure Timely Completion Of Maintenance Activities.

  • Technical Knowledge And Problem-Solving Skills: A Thorough Understanding Of Mechanical, Electrical, And Plumbing Systems Is Necessary For This Role. Candidates Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Maintenance Issues.

  • Proficiency In Computer Software And Systems: The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Should Be Proficient In Computer Programs Such As Microsoft Office And Have Experience Working With Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Cmms) To Manage And Track Maintenance Activities.
