  1. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to develop and maintain critical mainframe systems for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
  2. Drive the development and implementation of new mainframe technology solutions to improve efficiency and meet business needs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems with other technologies.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mainframe technology to continuously improve the company's infrastructure.
  5. Manage and prioritize tasks and projects to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe systems.
  7. Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training to team members.
  8. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  9. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  10. Participate in planning and estimation of projects and provide regular status updates to management.
  11. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to integrate third-party tools and services into mainframe systems.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert in mainframe technology and provide guidance and support to other team members.
  13. Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize mainframe systems.
  14. Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in all mainframe development and maintenance activities.
  15. Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with mainframe systems and processes.

  • Extensive Experience With Mainframe Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Mainframe Systems, Including Hardware, Operating Systems, And Software Applications.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Programming Languages: Proficiency In Programming Languages Commonly Used In Mainframe Development, Such As Cobol, Assembler, And Pl/I, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Problem-Solving And Analytical Abilities: The Mainframe Lead Software Engineer Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Technical Issues And Come Up With Effective Solutions. This Requires Strong Problem-Solving Skills And An Analytical Mindset.

  • Financial Industry Experience: J.p. Morgan Chase & Co. Is A Leading Financial Institution, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Working In The Financial Industry And Be Familiar With Its Regulations And Compliance Requirements.
