Research Assistant
Conducts tests, experiments, and/or procedures following standard or detailed protocol. Tests include, but are not limited to, retro-orbital bleeds, body weight measurement, food intake, water intake, preparation of medicated water bottles, fecal sampling. Identifies and documents variations that may affect the validity of the experiment. Colony Management. Accurate and frequent reporting to colony management software systems of colony status including but not limited to colony productivity, cohort production and experimental progress. Maintain appropriate breeding scheme(s), weaning, and creating experimental cohorts. Data collection and analysis. Performs quality control, monitors data for accuracy, Uploads data to database system within agreed upon timelines with supervisor.
1-3 years of related experience
Mouse handling and husbandry skills preferred.
Established understanding of good safety practices and a demonstrated history of safe conduct.
Ability to work flexible shifts (evening/week-end/holiday)
