- Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, including negotiating terms and pricing.
- Monitor product inventory levels and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to stores.
- Develop and maintain product assortments that align with company strategies and meet customer demands.
- Create and analyze sales reports to identify areas of opportunity and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising team to ensure product displays and store layouts are visually appealing and meet brand standards.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting for assigned categories.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform buying decisions.
- Train and mentor junior buying team members.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company and its values.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our brands and products.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As An Assistant Buyer Or In A Related Retail Merchandising Role.
Bachelor's Degree In Merchandising, Business, Or A Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Retail Math And Financial Analysis.
Ability To Manage Multiple Categories And Work Cross-Functionally With Various Teams, Including Vendors, Merchants, And Planners.
