Lead Engineer, Database Services

We are looking for an innovative and passionate Lead Engineer, Database Services to join the JM Smucker family! In this role, you will be a critical member of our Technology team as we continue to build and maintain the most reliable and secure database services to support our entire organization. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of database solutions that provide reliability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and several years of experience in database services or related roles. Not only do we need someone with technical experience, but also someone who is a team player and can provide direction and guidance to ensure our database services are highly available and secure. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement database solutions that meet the reliability, scalability, and performance needs of the entire organization.
2. Lead the design and implementation of database services.

5. Provide direction and guidance to other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
6. Collaborate with other teams to develop and improve database services.
7. Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve database services.
8. Assist in the development and maintenance of database policies and procedures.
9. Create and maintain database documentation.
10. Train and mentor other team members in database services.
