Clinical Exercise Physiologist - PRN

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide individualized exercise testing and prescription to an array of patient populations. You will have the opportunity to build on your expertise while working with top-notch clinicians in a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology, with at least two years of experience in a clinical setting. They must be certified with the American College of Sports Medicine and/or the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping others maximize their potential.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform individualized exercise testing and prescription for patients of all types
2. Work with top-notch clinicians in a team environment to maximize patient outcomes
3. Provide patient education on exercise safety and effectiveness
4. Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications to improve health and well-being
5. Keep accurate patient records and progress notes
6. Monitor patients’ exercise sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
8. Maintain certification with the American College of Sports Medicine and/or the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
9. Maintain current knowledge of exercise science and rehabilitation principles
10. Provide exceptional communication and customer service to patients and their families.
