Job Description

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are looking for a highly motivated Admission & Registration Coordinator who is passionate about patient care and helping our healthcare providers succeed. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, in addition to the processing and coordination of patient registration and admission activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and will be a team player with a positive attitude. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of two years of experience in patient registration or related field, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with computer systems and applications. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The successful candidate should also demonstrate the ability to interact with patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that registration processes, admissions, and patient scheduling are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
  3. Solve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  4. Ensure that all patient information is collected and stored in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations/policies.
  6. Maintain accurate patient records.
  7. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Leverage computer systems and applications to streamline operations.
  9. Monitor patient registration and admission activities.
  10. Assist in training new staff on registration and admission processes.
