  1. Facilitate the registration and admission process for patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients by welcoming them to the facility and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  3. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless admission process.
  5. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
  6. Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is obtained.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to gather and exchange information related to admissions and registrations.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA and other privacy regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  9. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to admissions and registration processes.
  10. Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all aspects of the job.
  11. Identify and escalate any potential issues or concerns related to admissions and registrations to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve the overall patient experience.
  13. Keep abreast of industry changes and best practices related to admissions and registrations to ensure efficient and effective processes.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  15. Embody the mission and values of Johns Hopkins Medicine and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Admissions And Registration In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With A Diverse Population.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Electronic Medical Record Systems, With The Ability To Learn And Adapt To New Software Programs.
