Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician to join our team and support our Epilepsy Monitoring Program. As an EEG Technician, you will play a crucial role in assessing and monitoring brain activity in patients with epilepsy, providing valuable insights to our medical team.   1. Conduct EEG tests: Perform routine and specialized EEG tests on patients with epilepsy, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor patient care: Monitor patients during EEG testing to ensure their safety and comfort, and alert medical staff to any changes in their condition.
  3. Record and analyze data: Record and analyze EEG data using specialized equipment and software, and accurately document findings for review by medical staff.
  4. Maintain equipment: Ensure all EEG equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during testing.
  5. Collaborate with medical team: Work closely with physicians and other medical professionals to provide accurate and timely EEG results, and assist with patient care as needed.
  6. Educate patients: Explain EEG procedures to patients and their families, and answer any questions they may have about the testing process.
  7. Ensure confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends: Keep up-to-date with advancements in EEG technology and techniques, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Eeg Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Certificate In Eeg Technology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience In Epilepsy Monitoring: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing And Analyzing Eegs Specifically For Epilepsy Monitoring Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Epilepsy And Related Disorders: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Types Of Epilepsy And Related Disorders, As Well As The Ability To Recognize And Interpret Abnormal Eeg Patterns.

  • Strong Technical Skills: The Job Requires Proficiency In Operating Eeg Equipment, As Well As Knowledge Of Different Eeg Software Programs And Their Applications In Epilepsy Monitoring.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Compassionate Manner. The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Is Also Essential.
