As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their health and wellness goals.   1. Develop and implement exercise programs for patients, taking into consideration their individual needs and medical history.
  2. Conduct fitness assessments to determine baseline fitness levels and track progress throughout the program.
  3. Educate patients on the benefits of exercise and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive treatment plan for patients.
  5. Monitor patients during exercise sessions to ensure safety and proper form.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current research and advancements in exercise science to continually improve treatment methods.
  9. Adhere to all hospital and industry regulations and standards regarding patient care and confidentiality.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and outcomes.
  11. Provide support and guidance to patients, motivating them to adhere to their exercise program and reach their goals.
  12. Continuously evaluate and modify exercise programs to meet the changing needs of patients.
  13. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of other exercise physiologists and support staff.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
  15. Act as a positive representative of Johns Hopkins Medicine, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Clinical Exercise Physiologist (Cep) From The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm).

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably With Patients With Chronic Diseases Or Injuries.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Exercise Testing And Prescription, Including The Ability To Develop Individualized Exercise Plans For Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
