Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking for an experienced and passionate Infant Hearing Technician to join our team and provide quality care for our patients. Our ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, as well as an understanding of the latest audiological technology and techniques. The Infant Hearing Technician will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic testing of pediatric patients in order to assess hearing loss and related disorders. We are looking for an individual who can be a positive addition to our team and who has a caring attitude towards our patients.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology, Speech Pathology, or a related field and have at least two years of experience in pediatric audiology. It is also essential that the candidate is licensed or certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Additionally, excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities of the Infant Hearing Technician include:

  1. Performing accurate and efficient screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic testing of pediatric patients in order to assess hearing loss and related disorders.
  2. Using the latest audiological technology and techniques to ensure quality care for patients.
  3. Maintaining an understanding of the latest developments in the audiology field.
  4. Developing a positive relationship with patients and their families.
  5. Documenting patient information in accordance with regulations.
  6. Working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis of hearing issues.
  7. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
  8. Keeping up with continuing education requirements.
  9. Assisting with other duties as assigned.
