Job Description

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and committed Senior Performance Improvement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications and personal drive to help us improve the quality of care for our patients and drive innovation within our organization. The Senior Performance Improvement Specialist will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives, facilitating change management, and developing performance metrics. They will also provide coaching and training to staff members to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on process improvement and/or performance improvement. They will have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams. A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required. At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we strive to provide our patients with the best care possible. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  2. Facilitate change management and develop performance metrics.
  3. Provide coaching and training to staff members to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives.
  4. Analyze current processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Develop and manage budgets for process improvement initiatives.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement initiatives.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  8. Develop and implement performance improvement plans.
  9. Educate and mentor staff on best practices and process improvement tools.
  10. Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive.
