  1. Assist orthopaedic surgeons in preparing for and performing various medical procedures, including casting, splinting, and wound care.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  3. Provide patients with compassionate and empathetic care while ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures.
  4. Perform diagnostic imaging and other tests as directed by the orthopaedic surgeon.
  5. Document patient information accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other medical professionals to provide updates and answer any questions or concerns.
  7. Stay up-to-date on new techniques, technologies, and equipment related to orthopaedics.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  9. Assist in the maintenance and ordering of necessary supplies and equipment.
  10. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  11. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the quality of patient care.
  15. Adhere to the ethical and professional standards set by Johns Hopkins University at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Orthopaedic Technology Or Related Field

  • Certified Orthopaedic Technologist (Cot) Or Registered Orthopaedic Technologist (Rot)

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In An Orthopaedic Setting

  • Knowledge Of Orthopaedic Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology

  • Experience With Casting And Splinting Techniques, Orthopaedic Equipment And Tools, And Electronic Medical Records Systems.
