If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an On-Call Addiction Counselor at Kaiser Permanente.As an On-Call Addiction Counselor, you will work with a diverse population of patients struggling with substance abuse disorders. You will provide comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.   1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity of a patient's substance abuse disorder and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to help patients overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  5. Stay current on evidence-based practices and implement them in treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  6. Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them understand the nature of addiction and how to support their loved ones in recovery.
  7. Monitor and track the progress of patients in treatment and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure their continued success.
  8. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the state and the organization.
  9. Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, connecting them with community resources and support services as needed.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients at all times.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and participate in training and education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Embrace a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  13. Work on an on-call basis, being available to provide support and guidance to patients outside of regular business hours.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Certified Alcohol And Drug Counselor (Cadc) Or Equivalent.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Substance Abuse Counseling, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities And Techniques For Addiction Recovery.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours And Be On-Call For Urgent Situations, Including Evenings And Weekends.
