Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and driven Assistant Clinical Director to join the Emergency Department at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience as a practicing physician in an acute care setting, with at least two years in a leadership position. The Assistant Clinical Director will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and direction for the clinical care of patients in the Emergency Department.The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The Assistant Clinical Director should be committed to providing a safe and collaborative environment for caregivers and be able to effectively manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and have the ability to solve complex problems. In addition, the Assistant Clinical Director should have a thorough understanding of the regulatory and accreditation requirements of the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership, support, and direction for the clinical care of patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Maintain a safe and collaborative environment for caregivers.
  3. Manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  4. Adapt to a fast-paced environment and have the ability to solve complex problems.
  5. Ensure the Emergency Department is compliant with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  6. Facilitate team meetings to review patient care, clinical activities, and operational processes.
  7. Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures for the Emergency Department.
  8. Provide guidance and oversight of clinical staff performance.
  9. Foster relationships with other departments to ensure the highest quality of care.
  10. Monitor patient outcomes and quality of care in the Emergency Department.
