Welcome to Kaiser Permanente's Clackamas Clinic, where we are committed to providing top-notch dental care to our patients. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Dental Hygienist to join our team for a part-time, 20 hour per week position on days. As a Dental Hygienist at Kaiser Permanente, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the oral health of our community and be a part of a dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.   1. Perform dental cleanings and periodontal treatments on patients to ensure optimal oral health.
  2. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  5. Monitor and assess patient oral health, identify potential issues, and make appropriate referrals to the dentist.
  6. Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies, and incorporate them into practice as appropriate.
  7. Follow all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care and satisfaction.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for patients.
  10. Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and be a supportive and valuable team member.
  12. Attend continuing education courses and meetings as required to maintain licensure and stay current in the field.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned by the clinic manager or dentist.

Job Qualifications
  • Licensed Dental Hygienist: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid License As A Dental Hygienist In The State Of Oregon.

  • Experience In Dental Hygiene: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Dental Hygienist In A Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Dental Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Dental Procedures Such As Cleanings, X-Rays, And Fluoride Treatments.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Dental Hygienist, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Availability For 20 Hours/Week: This Position Is For 20 Hours Per Week, With The Schedule Being During Daytime Hours. The Candidate Should Be Available To Work On Weekdays, With Some Flexibility For Occasional Weekend Shifts.
