Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Hemodialysis Technician to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hemodialysis treatments to patients, while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and a commitment to delivering high quality services.The successful candidate must possess a strong knowledge of hemodialysis techniques, excellent communication skills, and must be committed to patient safety. You must be certified by the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT) or the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) as a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT). A valid driver’s license is required.We are looking for an individual who is warm and compassionate, with the ability to relate to patients in a respectful and professional manner. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. You must be a team player who is willing to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hemodialysis treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatments as needed.
  3. Assist in the preparation of dialysis machines and supplies.
  4. Educate patients and family members on the process of hemodialysis, as well as post-treatment care.
  5. Ensure the safety of patients during treatments and be prepared to respond to emergency situations.
  6. Maintain accurate records of treatments and patient progress.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible.
  8. Adhere to all policies and regulations related to hemodialysis treatments.
  9. Participate in periodic training and continuing education activities to stay up to date on new techniques and technologies.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Cpr Certification

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Certified Hemodialysis Technician (Cht) Certification

  • Minimum Two Years Of Recent Dialysis Experience

  • Ability To Successfully Complete Kaiser Permanente Dialysis Technician Course

  • Possess Thorough Knowledge Of Dialysis Machine Operations And Accessories

  • Ability To Recognize Changes In Patient's Condition And Take Appropriate Action

  • Ability To Use And Interpret Blood Gas Results.
