Laboratory Assistant

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate is a team-player, self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills and an understanding of laboratory procedures.To be successful in this role, you should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a laboratory setting. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, medical terminology, and computer software is also necessary. Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including preparing specimens, conducting tests, and recording results.
2. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies and ensure the lab is compliant with safety standards.
3. Follow laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy of results.
4. Monitor laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed.
5. Ensure all laboratory records and results are accurately and timely entered into the computer system.
6. Work closely with other medical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
7. Assist in training new laboratory personnel as needed.
8. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
