Job Description

We are looking for a highly-motivated Manager IT Support, Desktop to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the support of desktop, laptop, and mobile devices used by Kaiser Permanente personnel. To be successful in this position, you must have a customer service-oriented attitude and be able to lead a team of IT technicians, engineers, and other support staff.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in an IT support or management role. You should also have a strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and related hardware, including desktop, laptop, and mobile devices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.We are looking for someone who is passionate about IT and wants to make a positive impact on Kaiser Permanente. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the IT support team and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
  2. Manage and resolve customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
  3. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures for desktop, laptop, and mobile device support
  4. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal service levels.
  5. Train and orient new IT support personnel on technical best practices and procedures.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems.
  7. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the IT support service.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and trends.
  9. Monitor and manage the team’s budget.
  10. Act as the main point of contact between the team and other departments.
