Medical Assistant- Urology

We are looking for a motivated Medical Assistant- Urology to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to our Urology department. Responsibilities:

1. Assist Urology physicians and staff with patient care, including taking vital signs, performing routine lab tests, and administering injections.
2. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits.
3. Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
4. Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and ensure that all necessary medical supplies are stocked and accessible.
5. Follow established protocols for the collection and handling of specimens.
6. Provide patient education on Urology-related topics.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Participate in training and continuing education to stay up-to-date on best practices in Urology.
9. Provide administrative support to the Urology department, including filing, faxing, and other clerical duties.
10. Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the organization.
