Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join the Kaiser Permanente team in providing exceptional healthcare to our members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and demonstrate a commitment to providing quality results. This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field and at least two years of experience in a hospital laboratory, preferably with a focus on chemistry and/or hematology. The successful candidate is expected to be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and with accuracy. The Medical Technologist will be an integral part of the laboratory team and will be responsible for various laboratory functions, including specimen processing, testing, and reporting of results according to established standards. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform specimen processing, testing, and reporting of results according to established standards.
  2. Utilize laboratory equipment to perform tests and analyze data.

  4. Monitor laboratory supplies and order as needed.
  5. Follow all safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.
  6. Work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  7. Keep up to date on new advances in medical technology and techniques.
  8. Document all laboratory results accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues associated with laboratory testing.
  10. Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and policies.
