Job Description

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will have the opportunity to provide a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients. You will be responsible for administering radioactive agents, performing imaging studies, and monitoring radiation safety. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong knowledge of nuclear medicine technology and an ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. We are looking for someone who is compassionate and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. If you have an Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, a valid California state license, and ARRT certification, you may be the perfect fit for our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer radioactive agents to patients according to established protocols.
  2. Perform imaging studies, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and other nuclear medicine imaging.
  3. Monitor radiation safety to ensure patient safety.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and results.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, such as HIPAA and OSHA.
  6. Provide patient education and support regarding nuclear medicine procedures.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  8. Utilize hospital information systems to document patient data and results.
  9. Monitor equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning.
  10. Remain current on new and emerging technologies in nuclear medicine.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology

  • Radiologic Technologist Certification

  • Current Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)
