  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department and provide direction and guidance to nursing staff.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by monitoring and evaluating nursing practices and implementing improvement strategies.
  3. Develop and maintain staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  5. Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff, providing ongoing support, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  6. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development.
  7. Monitor and manage department budgets and resources, making recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of patient-centered care.
  10. Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in emergency nursing and incorporate them into department policies and practices.
  11. Handle patient and family concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for growth and implementing initiatives to enhance staff performance and patient outcomes.
  14. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities within the Emergency Department and the organization as a whole.
  15. Adhere to and promote the mission, vision, and values of Kaiser Permanente.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Strong Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Department Nursing.

  • Previous Leadership Experience, Such As Charge Nurse Or Nurse Manager.
