
Nurse Practitioner - Oncology
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. This position requires a deep understanding of cancer care, knowledge of oncology treatments, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care for our patients. If you have a passion for oncology, a dedication to excellence, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, this is the job for you.Minimum qualifications include:• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited nursing school• Board certification as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Oncology• Current, valid, and unrestricted RN and NP state license• A minimum of two years of current experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner• Knowledge of cancer care, oncology treatments, and managing side effects of treatments• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and form positive working relationships with other departments• Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities: • Provide high quality evidence-based care for patients with cancer • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered treatment plans • Educate patients and families about cancer care, oncology treatments, and side effects of treatments • Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments and medications • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records • Participate in research initiatives to improve the quality of cancer care • Stay current with trends and advances in oncology and cancer care • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
