- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for use in legal proceedings.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
- Assist attorneys in case preparation and management, including organizing and maintaining case files and documents.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the healthcare industry.
- Collaborate with other departments within Kaiser Permanente to ensure legal compliance and support important healthcare initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing travel arrangements.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a professional attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Complete other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by attorneys or legal management.
Bachelor's Degree In Paralegal Studies Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Law Firm Or Corporate Legal Department
Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Hipaa And Medicare/Medicaid
Proficient In Legal Research And Writing, With Strong Attention To Detail
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Attorneys, Clients, And Other Stakeholders.
