Phlebotomist

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente! In this role, you’ll be responsible for collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory testing and performing related laboratory duties. We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable individual with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of laboratory experience. Previous experience with patient care and phlebotomy is preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in accordance with established medical and laboratory standards.
2. Collect blood samples from patients, label them appropriately, and prepare them for laboratory testing.
3. Enter patient data into electronic medical records system and maintain accurate records.
4. Ensure that all specimens are collected and labeled correctly.
5. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and document results.
6. Obtain patient consent forms prior to phlebotomy procedures.
7. Assist with other laboratory duties as needed.
8. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
9. Maintain clean and organized work areas.
10. Provide excellent patient care and customer service.
