Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program: Candidates For A Phlebotomist Position At Kaiser Permanente Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Phlebotomy Program, Typically Consisting Of Classroom Instruction And Hands-On Clinical Experience.
Certification As A Phlebotomist: Kaiser Permanente Requires Candidates To Be Certified As A Phlebotomist Through A Recognized Agency Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Office. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Infection Control Practices, And Patient Care.
Knowledge Of Specimen Collection And Handling: Kaiser Permanente Requires Candidates To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Proper Specimen Collection And Handling Techniques To Ensure Accurate Test Results. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Tubes, Sample Labeling, And Storage Requirements.
