- Perform efficient and accurate blood draws from patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure the proper collection, handling, and labeling of blood samples.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of biohazard materials.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient care by greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all involved.
- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of lab orders in electronic medical records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the blood draw process.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices related to phlebotomy and healthcare.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors or healthcare providers.
Certification: A Phlebotomist At Kaiser Permanente Must Be Certified By A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).
Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic.
