
Radiation Therapist
At Kaiser Permanente, our Radiation Therapists provide exceptional care to our members as part of our comprehensive cancer treatment team. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Radiation Therapist to join our team and provide this essential care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a dedication to patient care, and a commitment to Kaiser Permanente’s mission of promoting total health.The successful candidate must have an Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in Radiation Therapy. They must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be organized and able to work well independently. The Radiation Therapist must be knowledgeable of the principles, practices and techniques of radiation therapy and have the ability to apply them to patient care.
Responsibilities of a Radiation Therapist:
• Provide high-quality radiation therapy treatments to Kaiser Permanente members in accordance with the appropriate radiation therapy protocols and safety procedures.
• Create and execute treatment plans for each patient, ensuring that all treatments are tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Monitor patients’ progress throughout their treatment and adjust the treatment plan as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all treatments and patient progress.
• Work collaboratively with the oncology team to provide the best possible care to members.
• Ensure that all radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Educate patients and their families about the radiation therapy process and its potential side effects.
• Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in radiation therapy.
• Participate in continuing education courses and professional development activities to maintain licensure.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy
Certified And Registered By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists
Current California Licensure As A Radiation Therapist
Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Equipment And Techniques

Knowledge Of General Safety Procedures For Radiation Therapy.
