  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to expectant mothers and their families in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  2. Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and fetal heart rate, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Educate and support patients and their families on prenatal and postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  6. Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure patient safety and privacy.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper sterilization of equipment and supplies.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to obstetrics and labor and delivery.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  12. Remain calm and professional during emergency situations and make quick and appropriate decisions to ensure patient safety.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve patient care processes to enhance the overall patient experience at Kaiser Permanente.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards of nursing practice.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by demonstrating teamwork, respect, and professionalism with colleagues and other healthcare providers.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State In Which You Will Be Practicing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Recent Labor And Delivery Experience In A Hospital Setting.

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
