- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, using a computerized scheduling system.
- Utilize knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to assist patients with insurance inquiries and ensure appropriate coverage for services.
- Educate patients on available healthcare services and assist with any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with medical staff and departments to ensure efficient and effective patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Handle and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with billing and financial departments to ensure proper billing and payment processes are followed.
- Continuously strive to improve patient access processes and procedures to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date on healthcare policies and procedures.
- Comply with all Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
- Act as a positive representative of Kaiser Permanente, promoting the organization's mission and values.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure departmental goals and objectives are met.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Processes.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Or Customer Service Related Field.
