
Representative, Patient Access

- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
- Accurately register and check-in patients for appointments, verifying necessary information and insurance coverage.
- Schedule patient appointments and communicate any necessary information or instructions.
- Answer phone calls and emails from patients regarding appointments, billing inquiries, and general inquiries.
- Provide information and resources to patients regarding their healthcare options and coverage.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure efficient and effective patient flow.
- Resolve patient concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect and process payments for services rendered.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and transactions.
- Continuously update knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations as needed.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed about changes in policies and procedures.
- Uphold Kaiser Permanente's values of integrity, compassion, and excellence in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Customer Service Or Patient Access Role In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Processes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Empathy And Professionalism.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Electronic Medical Record Software.
