Respiratory Care Practitioner

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This individual should be dedicated to providing quality patient care, have extensive knowledge of respiratory care practices, and be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program; current license and/or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner; at least two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and strong organizational and time management skills. Responsibilities for this job include:

1. Administering respiratory care treatments as prescribed by a physician
2. Assessing and monitoring respiratory conditions of patients
3. Operating and maintaining ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment
4. Educating patients and their families on home care and respiratory management
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
6. Documenting patient care and progress in medical records
7. Working with other departments to ensure patient safety and comfort
8. Maintaining inventory of respiratory therapy supplies
9. Keeping abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development
10. Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities
