  1. Conduct ultrasound exams on patients according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and quality of ultrasound images and recordings.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine appropriate ultrasound exams for patients.
  4. Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
  5. Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  6. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of new ultrasound techniques and protocols.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures.
  9. Continuously stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze ultrasound images.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  14. Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  15. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and educational opportunities.
  16. Adhere to all Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.

  • Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In At Least One Specialty Area.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Sonographer In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Familiarity With Imaging Equipment And Software Used In Ultrasound Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team-Based Environment.
