
Speech Therapist - Inpatient

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated treatment approach.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on communication and swallowing strategies to promote carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in the field of speech therapy.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards related to speech therapy services.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other team members.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: The Candidate Should Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.
State Licensure: The Candidate Should Hold A Current And Valid State License To Practice As A Speech-Language Pathologist.
Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Speech Therapy Services In An Inpatient Setting.
Certification: The Candidate Should Be Certified By The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) And Hold A Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) In Speech-Language Pathology.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, As Well As Experience Working With Patients With A Variety Of Diagnoses, Including Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, And Neurodegenerative Diseases.
