Sterile Processing Tech

We’re looking for a qualified, experienced Sterile Processing Tech to join the Kaiser Permanente team. This role requires a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and have a passion for providing quality care.To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of experience in a related field. Current certification in sterile processing and experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Inspect, clean, package, sterilize, and store medical instruments and supplies in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Maintain accurate records of all sterilization activities and document all equipment malfunctions.
3. Manage and distribute sterile supplies and equipment to medical facilities.
4. Ensure that all equipment is properly stored and inventoried.
5. Monitor and restock inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available.
6. Follow procedures to ensure that all sterile supplies and equipment are handled and transported safely and securely.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and adhere to all safety and quality assurance regulations.
8. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
9. Monitor and report any suspicious activity or irregularities regarding sterilization processes.
10. Assist with training and orientation of new staff.
