Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Technician, Pharmacy to join the Kaiser Permanente team and make an impact in our mission to provide high-quality health care to our members. We’re looking for a passionate and organized individual that can work independently and as part of a team, to ensure that our pharmacy is well-stocked and running smoothly. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of patients, work with cutting-edge technology, and make an impact on our healthcare system.To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting. You’ll also need to have strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as a passion for helping people in need. Knowledge of computer applications, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are also essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and process prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner
  2. Maintain and update inventory of medications and medical supplies
  3. Educate patients on appropriate use of medications and provide counseling on drug interactions, side effects, and storage
  4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  5. Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner
  6. Assist in maintaining records and documentation related to pharmacy operations
  7. Prepare and administer drugs via injection, inhalation, and oral methods
  8. Monitor drug therapies for safety and efficacy
  9. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Job Qualifications
