  3. Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and assist with surgical planning.
  4. Perform surgical procedures, such as assisting in open and minimally invasive surgeries, as directed by the supervising surgeon.

  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes and progress reports.
  8. Stay current on advancements and best practices in the field of thoracic surgery.

  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to ensure seamless patient care.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor for other healthcare team members, including new physician assistants and medical students.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, providing emotional support to patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification And Licensure As A Physician Assistant In The State Of Employment

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In Thoracic Surgery

  • Strong Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Techniques, And Equipment Used In Thoracic Surgery

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide High-Quality Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Environment
