Principal Aerodynamics & Thermal Engineer

Communicate with Studio, Exterior, Closures, Thermal, and Powetrain design teams and work with testing and functional development engineers on all relevant CFD issues. Maintain issue log and send regular updates to director/VP/CTO for review. Create reports for all analyses to document issues and resolutions. Develop and validate simulation methods and processes which provide reliable engineering guidance to development teams at lower cost and shorter turnaround time than alternative approaches, e.g. testing. Key part of the development process, iterating the design of the under-hood and battery thermal system to ensure delivery of thermal performance targets. CFD analysis for exterior/under hood vehicle/powertrain fluid mechanics. Report performance status vs. target to the studio and engineering teams, from concept to production. Work closely with Studio, Exterior, Closures, Thermal, Powertrain, and test engineers to identify and resolve open issues in vehicle development, and propose design solutions to address CFD issues
